Winner of Treasury Challenge #26

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the Alpaca team's 24th treasury challenge! I hope everybody had fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with this week!

It was such an honor to be named winner of the #25 challenge! Thank you CatchSomeRaes!

When I chose my vintage black bear fur coat as the inspiration item for this week's challenge, I expected to see more than a few Halloween themes. I was surprised not to. But, that's OK, because the variety of imaginative treasuries was wonderful! We had dreamy, wintery, animal, thoughtful, fun and carnival themed creations... and certainly some that were very beautiful! I enjoyed each and every single one!

So, after looking at all the treasuries at least three times, I narrowed them down to my top six choices. It was NOT easy.

I chose this one because of the beautifully melancholy hopefulness of the story told and the lovely curation.

And, although it didn't make it into the challenge thread, it did make it into my activity feed on Saturday night and I want to give special mention to another one created by CreateTruth, Sunday Go To Meetin' because her special remembrance treasury also struck a very special remembrance cord deep in my heart.

And, now, in no particular order, I'd like to mention these close runner-ups!

To Participate...

Read the rules carefully, especially if it's your first time with us!

Create a treasury (or two... or three...) that follows the "Challenge Requirements". The theme can be anything at all, as long as you follow the guidelines. You may create as many treasuries as you'd like and enter as many times as you'd like!

This week's Inspiration Shop will select a winner, at the end of the challenge. The winner is completely up to them! Create the best treasury you can, and maybe... yours will be their favorite!!



You have until 6 pm Eastern time on Saturday, October 8th...

Challenge Requirements:

1. Include this week's Inspiration Item, anywhere in the first 3 rows (NOT as an alternate in the fourth row).
2. Do NOT include any of your own items, or more than one item from the same shop.
3. In addition to the Inspiration Item, your treasury must contain at least 4 items that are related to Alpacas, camelids, fiber, fiber arts, or are from 1000 Things Alpaca Team members. These "team-related" items can be placed anywhere in the treasury. The theme can be anything you'd like, as long as you include 4 team-related items and the inspiration item! 4. While the challenge lasts, be sure to change out any items that disappear from your Treasury! But... Do NOT replace the Inspiration Item if it sells!!
5. Tag your Treasury "alpacateam" and "ALPACAchallenge26" (#26, NO spaces). If your treasury isn't tagged correctly and doesn't show up in the Treasury search results by the judging deadline, it will not be judged.

One thing I have learned this week-the Alpaca team does an awesome job making treasuries! They are all so beautiful, fun and creative! It was a tough job, but I have chosen Soft Color by MyMothersStuff as the winner. I loved the soft and delicate feel of it, much like the wings of a dragonfly.

Thank you everyone who participated this week!! This is always so much fun, checking out these treasuries is always an adventure as everyone thinks so differently when it comes to designing treasuries. You never know what to expect when you click on each one! They were all wonderful, truly, but I chose Farmhouse basics by catchsomeraes because it just kept me going back to it. I'd love to have a farmhouse kitchen myself and this group of items was just so clean, and enchanting!
