Alpaca Team Challenge #16!!!

A fun treasury challenge, hosted by the 1000 Things Alpaca Team on Etsy!

Anyone on Etsy can participate! You do NOT have to belong to the team, to participate or win the challenge!

Simply create a treasury featuring the "Inspiration Item" and following the guidelines listed below. If you WIN, something from YOUR shop will be our Inspiration Item next week!

To Participate...

Read the rules carefully, especially if it's your first time with us!

Create a treasury (or two... or three...) that follows the "Challenge Requirements". The theme can be anything at all, as long as you follow the guidelines. You may create as many treasuries as you'd like and enter as many times as you'd like!

This week's Inspiration Shop will select a winner, at the end of the challenge. The winner is completely up to them! Create the best treasury you can, and maybe... yours will be their favorite!!

You have until 6 pm Eastern time on Saturday, July 30th...

Challenge Requirements:

1. Include this week's Inspiration Item, anywhere in the first 3 rows (NOT as an alternate in the fourth row).


2. Do NOT include any of your own items, or more than one item from the same shop.


3. In addition to the Inspiration Item, your treasury must contain at least 4 items that are related to Alpacas, camelids, fiber, fiber arts, or are from 1000 Things Alpaca Team members. These "team-related" items can be placed anywhere in the treasury. The theme can be anything you'd like, as long as you include 4 team-related items and the inspiration item! 4. While the challenge lasts, be sure to change out any items that disappear from your Treasury! But... Do NOT replace the Inspiration Item if it sells!!


5. Tag your Treasury "alpacateam" and "ALPACAchallenge16" (#16, NO spaces). If your treasury isn't tagged correctly and doesn't show up in the Treasury search results by the judging deadline, it will not be judged.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this weeks challenge! I had a great time looking through each and every treasury. When I chose my brooch as the inspiration item I was curious to see what themes everyone would come up with and I was not let down! Each collection was unique and lovely in its own way and I'm very thankful for the time and effort put into them.

I chose FallingLadies' treasury because it was wonderfully weird. Never in a million years would I have thought to do such a theme for my brooch and I was beyond happy with the results. Thank you FallingLadies for creating such a fantastic treasury!

Meandering Through The Forest By SimplyAroha was a very magical treasury. Since my nickname used to be "Fairy" when I was younger, this was so appropriate. I was proud to see my item fit so well with such an amazing treasury.

Jacaranda and Stardust and Wanderlust by NouveauTique were both incredible and could not be left out. Jacaranda was chosen because of the tree that I never even knew existed until this treasury, that so closely resembles a tree that came out of my imagination. Stardust and Wanderlust was just mystical.

White Winds And Teal Skies By FallingLadies was so peaceful.

Treasury Challenge #13 Winner!

Wow, what an amazing week this was! I selected my black key choker for this challenge because I thought it would inspire some really interesting, beautiful and different treasuries, and I was right!!! You are all amazingly talented!!!

The task of choosing one winner was not an easy one. I kept going over and over each treasury, narrowing my list down to 15, then 10, and finally to my 6 favorites...and I just kept coming back to one particular treasury again and again. Everything about this treasury just completely captivated me: the title, the theme, the items (and the way the names of the items fit so perfectly within the theme), and especially the way the color transitioned from black to red, beginning with my simple black key and ending with three simple red hearts.

Treasury Challenge #12 Winner!

"The blanket I chose as my inspiration piece was actually designed from all the amazingly beautiful beach treasuries I've been seeing on etsy the last few months, so when alpacakids chose my treasury, I knew immediately it would be the item. Some people may be getting tired of the beach treasuries but I cannot get enough of them. So I was super excited to see how everyone chose to use it.

I was NOT disappointed!!! You ALL rock!!!!!

I have literally fallen in love with them, not a single bad one in the bunch...

Saying that, the rules state that I had to choose just one winner, and at least 5 HM's...I figured with the holiday weekend, there would not be as many treasuries and there weren't...Thank Heaven! How to choose from so much beauty???

The very first treasury made was curated by NouveauTique...Just breathe...and it captived me from first glance...I just keep going back for another, then another look. I love every single item, so it naturally is my choice for the [Winning Treasury]:



For the Honorable Mentions...that was really the tough part...

I could have picked every single treasury made by pamelasjewelry, but had to choose just one...so from her I chose Joys of Life....love all of it as well.

I am an incurable romantic, so A Seaside Romance by alpacakids grabbed me immediately.

VeritasCraft's Cuddle Up and Kick Off Your Shoes...the whole treasury reflects how I envisioned my blanket being used.

In Search of Peace by RedSnake and From the shore to the summit by doolshandmade were simply works of art in and of themselves.

That should be it...but I just HAVE to give shout-outs to FallingLadies Just back from vacation and still have that relaxed feeling .

alpacakids told me after my win, that this would be a huge ego boost, THAT was an understatement....I have loved every minute of browsing through these treasuries and will most definitely be featuring them and their curators on my blog over the next couple of weeks.
